Three Years Strong: TPN’s Continued Momentum in Content Security

Three years after its relaunch, the Trusted Partner Network (TPN) has moved from renewed framework to established, global program. What continues to set TPN apart is not just scale, but sustained engagement—an industry-wide commitment to a content security ecosystem built on collaboration, transparency, and a shared commitment to continuous improvement across the entertainment supply chain. 

Today, TPN encompasses more than 1,000 completed security assessments and a network of 1,600+ partners operating in more than 60 countries. That growth reflects not only the scale of the industry, but a shared commitment to collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement in content security. 

A Year of Notable Progress 

Throughout 2025, TPN delivered a series of program advancements, each designed to provide clearer guidance, stronger security foundations, and increased transparency for the entire industry, all with valuable feedback from members along the way. 

Key milestones included: 

• Updates to the MPA Content Security Best Practices (v5.3 and v5.3.1), ensuring continued alignment with evolving production and distribution risks. 

• Launch of the next-generation four-tier Shield system, providing clearer visibility into security maturity and remediation efforts, along with expanded recognition through the new TPN Gold Star Shield. 

• Introduction of the TPN Stella Security Award, celebrating members that demonstrate sustained security excellence and full compliance with MPA Best Practices and Additional Recommendations. 

• Expansion of free, global security resources, including translated Best Practices (with thanks to Iyuno), complimentary security policy templates, and member discount programs. 

• Launch of Trusted Partner Exchange, enabling service providers to securely share assessment reports in support of subcontracted services. 

These milestones reflect TPN’s ongoing dedication to continuous improvement, supported by the community’s contributions through workshops, feedback, and shared expertise in both virtual and in-person sessions in Los Angeles and London.  

Looking at 2026 

Momentum continues into the new year. In 2026, TPN will further strengthen its role as a trusted authority and transparent platform for the industry, with new initiatives designed to deliver operational value and advance shared security goals. Members can expect additional updates and announcements this year.
